Policies

Reservation & Payment
- Applications must be accompanied by the full amount due and documentation of any applicable discounts. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, personal checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders. Cash is only accepted in person. Make checks payable to PRS Tactical or David S. Kingsbury.
- The instructor will contact you to confirm your reservation. Your reservation is not complete until you receive confirmation. If your application is denied, you will receive a full refund.
- Handgun rentals and the CCW Handgun Shooting Experience are subject to availability of ammunition. The instructor will confirm availability at the same time your course reservation is confirmed.
- Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee in addition to the original amount due. The full amount must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or money order. Certificates will be revoked and will not be reissued until full payment is made.
Cancellation & Refund
- Cancellations made at least 10 days in advance of the course date will receive a full refund, except $25 will be deducted if you received your textbook in advance.
- Fees are not refundable if a cancellation is made less than 10 days in advance of the course date but, upon payment of a $35 course-change fee, may be applied to a future course date within 120 days of the initial course date.
- If a student does not show up for a reserved course, all fees will be forfeit and will not be applied to a future course.
- If the instructor dismisses a student from a course for any reason, all fees will be forfeit and will not be applied to a future course.
- Courses with fewer than 3 students may be cancelled at the instructor’s discretion with 7-days notice. In this event, students may choose a full refund or apply their fees to reserve a future course date.
- Courses are held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, a course may be postponed at the instructor’s discretion.
Participation
- NO LIVE AMMUNITION IS PERMITTED IN THE CLASSROOM.
- ANY FIREARMS ENTERING THE CLASSROOM MUST BE CASED AND CHECKED BY THE INSTRUCTOR.
- STUDENTS MUST FOLLOW GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF FIREARMS SAFETY AT ALL TIMES. BASIC FIREARMS SAFETY WILL BE DISCUSSED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE COURSE. ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE GIVEN BEFORE THE LIVE-FIRE EXERCISE. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE OF EXPECTATIONS, ASK.
- Courses begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Students are expected to be on time.
- Students must follow all directions and range commands from the instructor while on the range or when handling firearms in the classroom.
- Disruptive behaviors, profanity, and inappropriate attitudes will not be tolerated.
Privacy & Records
- Contact information is kept private and is only used by PRS Tactical to contact you about your course or future courses.
- Your course records are kept for a minimum of four years as required by state law.
- Student records are confidential and will only be released to the student, the student's representative as authorized in writing, or to state or local government agencies as required by law.
